Great for those who want a recharge.
The Yoga School is an ultra luxe studio perched on top of the OCBC Building in the middle of CBD. It resembles a spa more than a yoga studio, with luxurious finishings and beautiful views of the Singapore skyline.
Class
The Yoga School offers a pretty diverse range of classes, from Begin (suitable for beginners) to Iyengar to Yoga Nidra.
I’ve only tried out their Flow and Build (which is like a Hatha class) classes. I find that the pace here is generally a lot slower than most studios I’ve been to. I hardly break a sweat, even in the Flow class. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the classes here though. It’s a great way to reconnect with the breath and it truly is a form of moving meditation. It’s great for the times when I feel like moving, but don’t want to push my body to a point of fatigue (which is often the case at many other studios like Yoga Lab or Yoga+).
On top of that, you get absolutely beautiful panoramic views of the Singapore skyline during the practice. There’s nothing more calming than flowing in the setting sun or watching the city lights glitter in the rain.
Price
The Yoga School has one of the priciest package in town, but it’s no surprise given how luxurious the studio is.

Studio
The studio features large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views across the Singapore cityscape.
Class sizes are typically quite small. The largest class I’ve been to had 6 students.
The studio uses Manduka mats. The mats are so new that they feel like they haven’t been broken in yet (there is that slight slippery film that you get with brand new Manduka’s).
Changing Room
The waiting area and the changing/shower rooms look more like a high-end spa than a yoga studio. Shower amenities are provided by Aromatherapy Associates. It really is the perfect way to close a relaxing practice.
There are 3 shower cubicles.
There are no toilet facilities within the studio and you’d have to grab a key from the counter to access the building toilet outside the studio.
Amenities
Location
The studio is on the 39th floor of OCBC Centre (65 Chulia Street).
Roadside parking can be hard to find in the evenings given the sheer number of bars and restaurants in the area. Parking in the skyscrapers nearby can be ridiculously expensive. I would suggest only driving here on weekend afternoons.
For those taking the MRT, it is a short walk from Raffles Place MRT but do note that there is no sheltered walkway there.
