Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Yoga Lab Raffles Place

One of the fastest growing yoga franchises in the last year, Yoga Lab probably has the most insta-famous yoga instructors, with headliners like Jasmine Chong, Betty Kong and Erica Tenggara.

Yoga Lab is one of my most frequented studios and is one of the few places where I’ve bought multiple packages from (the other being Yoga+). With 4 outlets now (Duxton, CBD, Raffles Place, East), there are now many types of classes to choose from. They’ve also done a good job in hiring amazing (and I mean amaaaaaaazing) instructors that have kept me going back again and again.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Jyan Yoga

The newest addition to this tiny island’s burgeoning boutique yoga community is Jyan Yoga by popular acro-yogi, @jyanyoga. Even if you’ve not heard of @jyanyoga before, you’d probably would’ve seen owner Jiamin’s face whilst scrolling through instagram. Sometimes in gravity-defying acro-yoga poses and often decked out in the latest activewear brands that she’s the face of.

The offerings at Jyan Yoga are a little different from the usual basics/flow/power classes you see at other studios. And she’s already got recognised teachers on the roster. It’s a great studio for those who’d like to switch up their practice or try something different.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Yoga Plus Tanjong Pagar

Yoga+ is one of the few successful studios in Singapore that has gone from strength to strength. Yoga+ Tanjong Pagar is the franchise’s third studio. For those who don’t know, Yoga+ is owned by the insta-famous Angie (@sassyyogi), Bianca (@biancaperechemd) and Suffian (@thuri.yoga), who had built a strong following whilst they were teaching at The Yoga Co and subsequently at Yoga+.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Nithya Priyan School of Yoga

Helmed by experience instructor Priyan, The Nithya Priyan School of Yoga is probably the only studio in Singapore that structures its classes based on a weekly theme. The theme for the week will determine what the peak pose is for each class. Each week’s theme then builds up to a 27-week syllabus that allows practitioners to experience a full range of asanas.

Some teachers in Singapore have their own daily or weekly themes, but it’s nice to for the studio to have such a structured approach to maintain the quality of the classes across their teachers.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – The Yoga School

The Yoga School is an ultra luxe studio perched on top of the OCBC Building in the middle of CBD. It resembles a spa more than a yoga studio, with luxurious finishings and beautiful views of the Singapore skyline.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Yoga Lab CBD (2018 Update)

The latest addition to the Yoga Lab franchise is the CBD outlet; a souped up version of the Duxton studio.

The Yoga Lab franchise probably has the most number of insta-famous yoga instructors, with headliners like Jasmine Chong and Erica Tenggara.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Club Yoga

Great for aerial and rope yoga Follow me on Instagram @TheYogaSocietySG  Club Yoga is another beautifully put together studio that offers a range of aerial and rope classes on top of the usual vinyasa and ashtanga offerings. The studio is located on the second floor of a shophouse along the fitness hub that is Hong Kong…

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Sweatbox Yoga

Great for getting your zen on amidst lush greenery Follow me on Instagram @TheYogaSocietySG I know I start every post raving about how beautiful each studio I visit. It hit me recently that it’s because I’m drawn to checking out pretty studios. I’ll admit; I procrastinate visiting studios known for great practices but bare furnishings. Now I’ll be…

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – The Yoga Mandala

Great for those with a strong practice or interested in acro-yoga. The Yoga Mandala is helmed by insta-famous yogi, Jessica Sinclair (@jessica.r.sinclair), who co-founded the studio. You’d probably find The Yoga Mandala’s bright airy studio familiar as it’s often featured on Jessica’s and local singer Sara Wee’s (@saraweeyogic) instagram pages.

Singapore Barre Studio Review – Barre2Barre

Barre2Barre is hands down the most beautiful studio I’ve ever been to. The cosy space was such a great distraction from the burn of yet another plié.

Barre2Barre strays from the traditional barre-only offering with its range of barre-focused classes like bootcamp, yoga and even bounce. You heard me right, Barre2Barre also offers bounce classes – the one where you groove to the instructors’ playlist on a trampoline (imagine that burn!).

Singapore Yoga Studio / Gym Review – Level

Level is a beautiful boutique studio that is – wait for it – not located in a shophouse. The instgram-worthy space occupies 2 retail units of the first floor of what looks like a small office building. It boasts floor-to-ceiling glass panels looking out into the street, accented with brick walls and wooden floorboards.

Unlike most boutiques that specialize in either high intensity workouts or yoga, Level offers a wide range of both.

Singapore Yoga Studio Review – Yoga Lab CBD

The latest addition to the Yoga Lab franchise is the CBD outlet; a souped up version of the Duxton studio.

The Yoga Lab franchise probably has the most number of insta-famous yoga instructors, with headliners like Jasmine Chong and Erica Tenggara.
